Hello!! I am Mia (or Minh Anh), a Vietnamese multicraftual maker, living and crafting on Dharawal Country (NSW, Australia).
- The photo in the blog’s header is a snapshot of my Craft Nook, a 4-square-metre corner where I spread out all my tools and supplies.
- I was taught to knit in my early teenage years, by my Mum and Grandma, then stopped for a long time until 2019, when I got back into crafting (sewing, crochet, knitting) for my mental wellbeing.
- Immediately, I developed a curiosity, to go as far back as possible into the process of making clothings, so I learned to spin, then to process raw fleece into spinnable fibre.
- I recently took up learning to weave on an 8-harness Ashford table loom from the 1980s. (I named my loom Sparkles, because of the gentle metallic clinking sounds the metal heddles make when the harnesses are moved.)
- Nothing gets me quite like figuring out the mechanics of a technique—how material and technical elements work together to make the final fabric look the way it does. (Yes, I have a tendency to dive right away into the deep end when learning a new craft.)
- I accumulate WIPs like nobody’s business.

This blog is my earnest attempt at a diary, or a virtual Nook where I can write down all the details and my thought process mid-WIPs. Instagram caption’s word limit is decidedly no match for my ability to yammer on; hence, proper old-school blogging it is.
There is, as of now, no posting schedule. There are, however, many tangents on life and crafts and fibery things and so-called “women’s work”.
